About

I'm an award-winning independent journalist and producer based in Berkeley, California. For six years I led multimedia projects at the Center for Investigative Reporting. My specialty is narrative multimedia storytelling and exploring ways to use digital media tools—including video, audio, photography, animation, and interactive graphics—to push the boundaries of storytelling on the Web. Before I got into multimedia I was a magazine editor, newspaper reporter, and video journalist. I completed a master's degree in journalism from UC Berkeley in 2005.
